I would like to be referred
Referrals to our service can be made by a health professional, for example your GP, or a hospital doctor, or a dietitian. If you think you may need a referral to our service, you can discuss with a health professional if the Centre for Obesity Management may be the right support for you.
It can be daunting to discuss weight with a healthcare professional, but they will want to help you on your journey towards your best weight and health goals.
If it has not already been discussed, you may need to raise the issue with a health professional, and if you both agree that a referral is appropriate for you, they will need to complete the referral form available here for St. Columcille’s Hospital Centre for Obesity Management (SCH COM).
Unfortunately the waiting list to attend SCH COM service is very long, but at least if your name is on the waiting list you will be seen eventually. While you are waiting, there are some other actions you can take. Please have a look at the I am on the waiting list page.
